Per manufacturers website, the weight limit is 70 lbs, Not 44 lbs! :-) - I was considering purchasing this for my 5 year girl but when I saw the weight restriction of 44 lbs, I was hesitant thinking she would outgrow it within the next year. However, after checking out the manufacturers website, I found this when has now made me decide to purchase this safer looking scooter than others for my little girl:* The mini scooter is designed with a weight recommendation of 70lbs. Please note that the bottom of the scooter shows a weight limit of 20kg, which is 44 lbs. The reason for the discrepancy is that European standards dictate that weights are displayed only in increments of 20, 50 and 100kg.

amazing scooter - My 2.5 and 4.5 year olds LOVE this scooter. It is amazing. Easy for them to ride and brake. Would HIGHLY recommend to everyone

Fantastic Scooter BUT you will need replacement parts - My six year old is still riding this scooter (he s just under the weight limit), and I wish they made one for older kids. We live in NYC, and he uses it to get back and forth to school every day, and pretty much everywhere else. He got a Huffy model when he was 3, and when that fell apart we bought this one (since the new Huffy model is nowhere near as good). My one major complaint is that the back wheel wears down pretty quickly, and we are on our third replacement brake. The parts are easy to order online. The site is called minimicrousa (or something like that). Interestingly, this site claims that the weight limit is actually 70 pounds.

Good quality toy - Bought this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. Very nice quality, good wheels, lightweight, has a foot brake, and it came with stickers:-) It was delivered in excellent condition with nice packaging. My daughter takes off on this and goes pretty fast. It s one of her favorite toys.
